A new report from England shows that Nintendo Wii burned 51 % more calories then using a Xbox game, which is good news. Unfortunately after playing the Wii for an hour a gamer can expect to burn 60 calories; which as the report states amounts to a quarter Mars bar or for you McDonald fan’s only 9 hours to burn off a 540 calorie Big Mac.
Well I guess my future career as a Wii Personal Workout trainer is just never going to pan out. So video games is not more beneficial then working out or doing some sort of out door activity but it’s still better than nothing. I wonder if the Wii Fit will cause people to burn even more calories? Just have to wait till that study is completed.

MDB Capital a company that monitors web activity has stated that Nintendo could have sold over $1.3 billion worth of Nintendo Wii’s had they had enough Wii’s in supply… Ouch! That’ll burn ya! Some of these sales have gone to the other game systems such as the Playstation 2, Playstation 3 and X box 360, many of those sales may never turn into Wii sales.
Although there are many conspiracy theorists out there who believe that Nintendo did this purposely but I find it hard to believe that they would risk losing $1.3 billion dollars.
So this mistake really hurt Nintendo as well as consumers who really wanted to purchase a Wii.

In England people are having such a hard time finding a NIntendo Wii that they are taking the Chunnel over to France to purchase their Wii’s. Apparently there are many in stock there.. So if you live out that way take a little drive or see if one of your buddies are going out that way.
